Testimonials

What They Say

WNS is home away from home for my children. I feel secure having my kids there. There is also the holistic approach to learning meaning, emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and academia, hence the perfect preparation for the kids to face life on their own later.

John Doe

I appreciate how proactive the teachers are in communicating, my children love the school, their teachers and classmates. I like the school's intentionality around maturing my children not only academically and spiritually, but also the deliberate efforts around social and emotional learning. My son has benefited tremendously from his interactions with the school counselor and elementary principal specifically around discipline issues.

John Doe

I love the ``community approach`` at WNS where everyone is part of the Rhino community, the Christian oriented teaching and the constant development of infrastructure around the school.

🎓 Today, we are shining our🌟 Senior Spotlight!🌟 on Jeremy Maina.

The aspect of WNS I appreciate the most is its close community it feels like being part of a family.  The environment is set up so that everyone can find their footing. Additionally, there is unlimited room for growth because of the healthily high standards that the school holds.  Having been in WNS since kindergarten, I can truly say that the positive impact the school has had on my life cannot be overlooked.

I played on the U15 boys football and basketball team from 6th - 8th grade and the U19 boys football and basketball teams from 10th - 12th grade. I also played U19 volleyball during 11th grade. Sports played a great part for me as I was honored to be the U15 boys football and basketball captain in 8th grade, and the U19 boys football and basketball captain in 12th grade. In addition to captaining the U19 basketball team in 12th grade, I was also greatly honored to receive 1 of 5 all-star selections at the ICSA tournament in Bingham Ethiopia, as well as other standout honors in tournaments this year.

My advice to incoming freshmen is to enjoy as much of the experience as possible while correctly prioritizing what needs to be done. It`s easy to feel alienated when joining high school so I would encourage one to be as open as possible to the new opportunity.  Try to step outside of your comfort zone and push yourself in whatever ways you can. Whether this means picking up a sport, choosing AP classes, or communicating openly with those around you, the downside may not be easy to see, but the rewards are far greater than you could imagine without the experience.

I plan to attend Baylor University in Waco, Texas, studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. Engineering has always interested me as I`ve always been fascinated by solving problems and making things generally better. Knowing that I will be able to make noticeable differences to the lives of people on a daily basis keeps me motivated and driven to work as hard as I can in university.

Jeremy, We know God has big plans for you. Thank you for the mark you have made at WNS. Congratulations.

🎓Take a look at today`s 🌟 Senior Spotlight!🌟 Wema Nyamu

Which sports teams or clubs have participated in?  I had the privilege of being part of the Swim Team.  What made this experience special was the incredible bond I formed with my teammates and coaches.  They were not just supportive in terms of swimming and our progress but also academically, which made a significant difference.

In your opinion, what sets WNS apart from other schools you have attended?  WNS stands out because it excels in preparing students for university life. Here, you learn to manage a heavy workload, maintain a healthy balance between academics, extracurriculars, and socializing, and master time management skills—all without feeling overwhelmed by excessive pressure or unrealistic expectations.

Please describe your overall experience at WNS.  My time at WNS was truly enlightening. Not only did I discover my passions and preferred learning interest for university and beyond, but I also had a wonderfully joyful experience. Building lasting friendships and meeting fascinating individuals made each moment special, especially during events like bonfires and lock-ins that created cherished memories.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?  DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. It might seem tempting to delay assignments when deadlines are not immediate, but I strongly recommend starting them right away. Break tasks into manageable chunks to prevent a buildup of work that can become overwhelming later. This advice is particularly crucial for NSA classes; don’t underestimate them due to their online nature. Stick to Mr. Kirui`s calendar and you’ll avoid a last-minute rush. This approach not only eases your workload but also ensures you stay clear of academic probation, especially important if you’re involved in sports.

Which university do you plan to attend?
University of Ottawa.  It is in a great location and very welcoming and supportive to international students. It also has great CO-OP opportunities, the academic structure is good and fits my interests well.
Congratulations Wema!! We are thrilled to have you as part of the WNS family and excited to see God work through you in the future

🎓 Today  🌟 The Senior Spotlight!🌟 is on Christian Misiko

  1.    What grade did you join WNS, and what motivated you to choose this school?
I enrolled at WNS in ninth grade. My main motivation was to meet new people and experience new things, as well as expand my global outlook.

2.    What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at WNS that you will carry with you for the rest of your life?
It`s definitely to do your homework, like don`t procrastinate ever it`ll come and bite you... HARD.

3.  What will you miss the most about WNS after graduation?
I will miss the teachers and the grounds, but I`ll especially miss the social environment that WNS created as I was able to meet many "interesting" people while I was here and have made friends for life. So thanks WNS!

4.  Which university do you plan to attend after graduation, and what led you to make that choice?
The University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. I`m looking forward to the cold and UCAL has been at the top of my list for a while now so fingers crossed i guess.

5.  What field of study do you intend to pursue in college, and what motivates you to pursue it?
I plan on pursuing a degree in psychology, while I`m not sure what branch of psychology just yet, I plan to have that figured out and hopefully specialize by my second year. I also plan on adding another degree on top of psychology to help broaden my horizons. I look forward to doing it particularly because I found a love of finding out how people work both psychologically and physically so being able to help people while doing something I love was my main motivation.

Congratulations, Christian!  We look forward to seeing God shine through you at Calgary!
