Celebrating 20 Years 1996 – 2016

WNS will be celebrating 20 years since opening it's doors on the first day of school - August 19th, 1996. Celebrations will be held at the school on August 19th, 2016, the same day it was opened 20 years ago!

Founded in 1996 to provide a North American Christian school education for missionary families in East Africa. The first WNS campus was located on Argwings Kodhek Road in the Kilimani area of Nairobi. The school grew and moved to its current campus in the beautiful Karen area in 2000. The first high school graduation also occurred in 2000. In 2003, WNS became part of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS).

New buildings were added as student numbers increased. The tradition of academic excellence and strong sense of school pride also continued to grow. Today, WNS is proud to provide a North American curriculum education to children of diplomats, expat business people, Kenyan families, and missionaries.

We had a competition for creating the 20 year logo with our students and the logo seen here took first place. The logo was created by Grace Song in 9th Grade. Excellent job and congratulations Grace!
